Polish farmers blocked all six directions on the border with Ukraine

All six directions continue to be blocked on the Ukrainian-Polish border. More than 2,400 trucks are in queues.

What is the situation on the border with Poland

According to Andrii Demchenko, the spokesman of the border service, Polish protesters continue to block the movement of trucks at six checkpoints on the border with Ukraine.

Polish farmers continue to block traffic for trucks. These are six directions. As of this morning, collectively, more than 2,400 freight vehicles are waiting for the possibility of passage in all these directions on the territory of Poland towards Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko noted.

According to him, the biggest queue is observed in the direction of checkpoints "Krakivets" and "Yagodin", where at the last checkpoint trucks are allowed only in the direction of Ukraine, and over the past day 70 vehicles have passed through.

Let me remind you that "Yagodin" is the largest infrastructure route where 1,200-1,400 trucks can cross the border in both directions. On the other hand, now only trucks that follow to Ukraine are allowed through... No trucks cross the border towards Poland, because they are not allowed through, Demchenko added.

He pointed out that the protesters do not block traffic for other categories of transport, including passenger cars and buses.

What is known about blocking the border of Ukraine

Since February 9, Polish farmers have been blocking checkpoints on the border of Ukraine for the passage of trucks.

These are the checkpoints: "Dorogusk - Yagodin", "Grebenne - Rava-Ruska", "Medyka - Sheghini", "Zosyn - Ustylug", "Dolgobichuv - Ughrynov", "Korchova - Krakowiec".

They demand to ban the import of Ukrainian agricultural products and for Poland to abandon the European Green Deal.

During this time, they dumped Ukrainian crops 5 times from freight cars onto the tracks or from trucks onto the roads.

Since March 1, the Sheghini checkpoint has been completely blocked.
