Polish farmers continue their strike

Polish farmers block lorry movements. As of March 13, blocking is carried out at five checkpoints.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) spokesman, Andriy Demchenko, reported this.

Currently, Polish protesters do not allow trucks to pass towards Poland in the direction of the checkpoints "Shegyni," "Yagodyn," and "Ustylug." Also, Polish farmers let a few cars from Poland to Ukraine through "Yagodyn" and "Shegyni"— for the past day, 100 and 20, respectively.

Polish farmers also completely restricted the passage of trucks from Ukraine in the direction of the "Ugryniv" checkpoint.

However, according to information from the Polish side, they decided to let two trucks per hour into Poland's territory from 13:00 to 21:00.

Today, a total of 1,150 lorries are in queues on the territory of Poland on these five routes, the largest of which is in front of the Yahodyn checkpoint.

Polish farmers block the Ukrainian border

On the night of March 9, Polish farmers stopped blocking the direction of the Korchova-Krakivets checkpoint, but this is most likely temporary, because according to the available information from the Polish side, from March 13, Polish protesting farmers plan to renew the blockade. As of this morning, the queue in this direction is about 480 trucks.

Cars and buses cross the border freely everywhere; movement on the other side of the border is not restricted for this category of transport.

Kyiv called on Warsaw to ensure the unhindered movement of buses in the places of protests on the Polish-Ukrainian border.

The other day, Serhii Tsaruk, consul of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Lublin, travelled to the Dorogusk-Yagodyn checkpoint. During a meeting with representatives of the local police and protesters, he emphasised the inadmissibility of any delays in the movement of passenger buses.
