On the morning of January 22, the newly elected Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk arrived on an official visit to Ukraine.

Donald Tusk is already in Kyiv: the first details

The Office of the Polish Prime Minister published a photo of Donald Tusk at the Kyiv railway station. It noted that the politician had arrived in the capital of Ukraine to hold meetings with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

It is worth noting that a few days ago, Donald Tusk announced his visit to Kyiv in an interview with the TVN24 channel.

The politician then said the trip should occur "in the next few days."

In addition, it is emphasised that on January 21, Donald Tusk met with Polish President Andrzej Duda to "discuss the details and nature" of the visit to Ukraine.

For both of us, since the president was very actively involved, the situation in Ukraine and at the front is the number one issue. This is a matter of Polish security, — said the Prime Minister of Poland.

The journalists found out that Donald Tusk intends to discuss the situation on the Polish-Ukrainian border in Kyiv.

What is known about the position of Donald Tusk regarding Ukraine

The new head of the Polish government is a pro-Ukrainian politician who supported our people in every possible way against the backdrop of the Russian invasion.

He repeatedly criticised his predecessor Mateusz Morawiecki and his team for not contributing to solving the blockade problem on the Polish-Ukrainian border.

Under his rule, official Warsaw agreed with the carriers on unblocking the border.

Despite this, Donald Tusk warns that his priority is the interests of his own country, which he will not ignore for the sake of Kyiv's comfort.
