According to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he is preparing for a visit to Kyiv, during which he plans to meet with the head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The main topic of future negotiations is the unblocking of the Ukrainian border.

Tusk will come to Kyiv and meet with Zelenskyy

According to the Polish politician, he does not want to reveal all the details because he knows the situation in which President Zelenskyy and all of Ukraine are.

It is wrong to go to Kyiv and devote the entire visit to Polish transport issues. But we will prepare this visit in such a way that during my meeting with the president it will be clear what we want to achieve, Polish PM emphasised.

Donald Tusk once again repeated that he had already called on Polish drivers many times not to block crossings "because of the war".

In his opinion, the current situation is dramatic, but despite this, he is doing everything possible to make life and the fate of Polish carriers easier.

The politician also added that his team is already close to being able to stop truckers blocking several border crossings checkpoints with Ukraine.

Tusk wants to strengthen Ukraine's support in the EU

According to the Polish politician, he cannot accept apathy or fatigue from Ukraine because it is not only about Ukraine and Russian aggression but also about the future of Europe.

My role will be to strengthen European resolve to support Ukraine. Despite what is happening in the US, I will try to convince some member states — Hungary above all — on this issue. I will try to find a new key to convince Mr. Orbán. As you know, Prime Minister Orbán is a very pragmatic politician. Consider it a compliment.

As mentioned earlier, on December 13, Donald Tusk's government was sworn in and officially started work.
