Russian dictator Vladimir Putin delivered a message to the Federal Assembly on Feb. 29, during which he threatened countries that dare to send troops to Ukraine.
Putin threatens Western countries with nuclear weapons
Putin called the idea of Western countries that Russia is going to attack them "delusional".
Commenting on the possibility of sending military contingents of other countries to Ukraine, the Russian dictator said that "he remembers the fate of those who once sent their contingents to the territory of our country. But now the consequences for possible interventionists will be much more tragic."
What is Putin talking about?
On Feb. 26, French President Emmanuel Macron gathered European leaders in Paris to discuss support for Ukraine.
After the meeting, he said that the allies would do "everything necessary so that Russia cannot win this war", adding that "it cannot be ruled out" that Western troops will be sent to Ukraine. However, there is no consensus among the allies on this matter.
He added that Russia may attack NATO countries in the next few years — this is evidenced by Moscow's actions in recent weeks.
NATO has declared that they will not send their troops to Ukraine, but individual decisions can be made individually.
