From March 1, the Russian government will ban the export of gasoline for half a year and increase the rate of sale of diesel fuel on the stock exchange to 16%. Russian authorities plan to fight against the rapid increase in fuel prices.
An export gasoline ban has been imposed in Russia
This information was officially confirmed on February 27 by the representative of the Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Aleksandr Novak.
What is important to understand is that Novak himself was the author of this idea and actively promoted it among Russian officials.
In addition, he drew attention to the approaching season of increased fuel demand associated with spring field work, scheduled repairs at the refinery, and summer vacations.
According to the latest data, the temporary ban on exports does not apply to deliveries to the EAEU countries, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, which have already been agreed.
