On the night of February 6, powerful explosions once again thundered across Russia. This happened in the city of Gubkin of the Belgorod region during a new drone attack.

Explosions in the Belgorod region on February 6. First details

The governor of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Gladkov, was the first to write about the drone attack in his Telegram channel.

He stated that the fall of the drone and its subsequent detonation were recorded.

Gladkov also assures that no one from the local population was injured due to the explosions.

In addition, it is reported that four private houses were damaged: broken windows and cut roofs, facades and fences.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation later published a statement that they allegedly managed to intercept seven drones over the Belgorod region.

In addition, there was also information that the "Riviera" shopping centre also caught fire in Moscow.

According to the latest data, the fire was already under control.

People are posting videos from the scene on social media.

Budanov hinted at an increase in the number of attacks on Russia's infrastructure

The Defence of Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) chief, Kyrylo Budanov, predicts that attacks by Ukrainian drones on Russian infrastructure may soon really increase.

Despite this, the DIU chief did not confirm or deny Ukraine's involvement in drone attacks in Russia, saying that such operations are "quite possible".

Hypothetically, there is a plan by which all this happens. And I believe that this plan includes all the main objects of critical infrastructure and objects of the military infrastructure of the Russian Federation, noted the DIU chief.

According to Kyrylo Budanov, the fact that the Russian civilian population is finally "seeing the real picture (of the war — ed.)" is extremely important.

They see burning oil depots, destroyed buildings of plants and factories... All this is beneficial, explained Kyrylo Budanov.
