Russia fires about 11 Kinzhal hypersonic air-launched ballistic missiles at Ukraine

During the morning massive attack on 2 January, Russian forces fired about 11 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles at Ukraine.

According to Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Russia launched about 11 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles on the territory of Ukraine.

According to him, as a result of the Russian attack, there is damage to civilian infrastructure and fires in almost every district of Kyiv. There are also casualties.

In addition, in Kharkiv, more than 40 people were injured and one woman was killed.

Russia is a country that is at war with high-rise buildings and civilians, killing Ukrainians every day and night, the ombudsman added.

Consequences of Russian missile attack on Ukraine on January 2

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, emergency services are working in 6 districts in Kyiv, where 7 fires occurred in the Obolon, Pechersk, Podil, Solomianskyi, Sviatoshynskyi and Desnianskyi districts.

More than 130 people were evacuated from a high-rise building in Solomenskiy district. About 20 people were rescued from the blocked premises by the State Emergency Service. In total, more than 20 people have been reported injured in the capital.

The Boryspil, Bucha and Fastiv districts in Kyiv region were affected. A fire in a residential building in the Fastiv district was extinguished. Two people were killed.

In Vyshneve, 5 apartment buildings and more than 40 cars were damaged. 7 people were injured.

Explosions occurred in Kharkiv in the city centre. One person was killed. 41 injured. Significant damage was caused to civilian infrastructure.
