Russia has issued an arrest warrant for Estonian PM Kaja Kallas

Earlier, the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Aleksandr Bastrykin, demanded his subordinates check the actions of the Estonian authorities in connection with the demolition of a monument in the form of a T-34 tank in the Estonian city of Narva near the border with Russia.

The database does not indicate under which article Kairisa and Kallas are wanted. But the reason was the demolition of Soviet monuments in the republics.

In addition to Kallas and Kairis, more than a hundred officials and politicians from Eastern Europe, against whom criminal cases were initiated after the demolition of Soviet monuments in their countries, were in the wanted database. Among them are 59 deputies of the Seimas of Latvia and 15 municipal deputies from Riga, who decided to demolish monuments to Soviet soldiers.

Also in the search database are deputies of the city councils of Klaipeda and Vilnius in Lithuania, Lutsk and Rivne in Ukraine, the mayor of the Polish city of Walbrzych, etc.

Estonia's aid to Ukraine

From the first days of the full-scale war, Estonia condemned Russia, provided military and financial aid to Ukraine, and took in thousands of refugees. The President and Prime Minister of Estonia were among the first to visit Ukraine last spring.

Earlier, the government of Estonia approved a new military aid package for Ukraine, which includes 155-mm ammunition.

Also, Estonian PM Kaja Kallas called on the EU to speed up the production of shells so Ukraine could deliver the promised one million artillery ammunition.
