Russian volunteers fighting on the side of Ukraine called on residents of Belgorod and Kursk regions on March 15 to stay in shelters or evacuate during the operation of the humanitarian corridor.

Statement of Russian volunteers about combat operations on the Russian border's territory

The Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC), the Legion "Freedom of Russia" (LFR), and the Siberian Battalion (SibBat) published a statement on March 15 calling on residents of the Belgorod and Kursk regions to remain in shelters due to the intensification of hostilities on Russian territory.

The best solution these days would be to leave the territories of the Belgorod and Kursk regions until the active phase of the limited military operation is over.

A humanitarian corridor will operate for those willing to evacuate from the war zone on the night of March 15 to 16. The period of operation remains unchanged: from 21:00 on March 15 to 7:00 Moscow time on March 16.

Russian volunteers recommend to all those who will not be able to leave the area of the limited military operation in time to find a reliable shelter, refrain from walking, avoid crowds of people and equipment, and stay at home or in safe places if possible.

We remind you that the Putin regime continues the practice of covering its troops with the civilian population as a "human shield", which makes the stay of civilians in the territory of the Belgorod and Kursk regions particularly dangerous, the statement reads.

What is happening in the Russian border regions

On the morning of March 12, Russian volunteers from the LFR, RVC, and SibBat fighting on the Ukrainian side announced that they were "going to the elections" for the Russian Federation's president.

They crossed the Russian border and operated in the border areas. On the same day, the Legion "Freedom of Russia" fighters announced they had taken control of the Tyotkino settlement in the Kursk region.

On the evening of March 14, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) confirmed that the Russian authorities are blocking the evacuation of civilians from the Belgorod and Kursk regions, where hostilities are taking place.

According to Russian volunteers from the Legion "Freedom of Russia," as of the morning of March 15, 7,000 vehicles with people in Belgorod and the Belgorod region and 600 civilian cars from Kursk used the humanitarian corridor for evacuation.
