The occupiers surrounded the central district of Feodosia and intensified checks of locals to identify informants who they believe had been monitoring the port, according to the National Resistance Center (NRC) of Ukraine.

What is happening in Feodosiya after the destruction of Novocherkassk

It is noted that after the destruction of the large landing ship Novocherkassk, the Russian authorities ordered to cordon off the central district of the city and intensify checks on local residents in Feodosia.

The Russians are looking for informants who they believe are watching the port and are also trying to prevent information about the extent of damage to port infrastructure from leaking out.

However, such actions will only resemble hysteria and will not affect the real state of affairs. The Russians are the enemy here and will always be in the crosshairs of the Ukrainian Defence Forces. Their every action is recorded and transmitted, and there are already enough munitions for everyone, the statement said.

Destruction of Novocherkassk: what is known

On the night of 26 December, the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed Russia's large landing ship Novocherkassk in Feodosia.

This was a continuation of a series of destructions of ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet by Ukraine, as a result of which some ships were withdrawn from the bays of Crimea.

Around 3:00 a.m., on 26 December, explosions were heard in the Feodosia district of occupied Crimea. It was reported that a ship allegedly carrying Iranian ammunition was blown up, and a fire broke out in the port.

Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk confirmed that Ukrainian defenders had blown up a large Russian landing ship Novocherkassk in occupied Feodosia.

Later, it became known that the Novocherkassk was destroyed by cruise missiles of the tactical aviation of the Ukrainian Air Force.

The ship was carrying Shahed UAVs, which the Russian army uses to attack Ukrainian cities.

Russia's Ministry of Defence reported that the Novocherkassk was damaged in Feodosiya last night "while repelling an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces using anti-aircraft missiles".

According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, "during the anti-aircraft battle, two Ukrainian Su-24s that fired missiles were destroyed by air defence systems". The Ukrainian Air Force denied this.
