Who created the Russian Volunteer Corps
Before the full-scale war, the commander of the sabotage group of the RVC Anton "Tourist" was in the Azov movement Centuria, and since February 24 he was in the then Territorial Defense Forces brigade "Azov", now it is the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade.
I am the co-organiser of the RVC.
Together with a group of friends who served from the first days of the full-scale war, who have been there even since 2014 in different units, we decided to get together, to implement the idea that has long stirred our minds. We organised this team together. That's why I’m in the RVC from the very beginning, — says "Tourist".
In 2017, a mostly fabricated FSB case was opened against him and his friends in the Russian Federation. Anton was suspected of participating in an extremist community and setting fire to the “United Russia” regional party office. In 2019, he was told to "come with his things" to the final court hearing, this was already the announcement of the verdict.
My mate and I decided to order a BlaBlaCar and we illegally crossed the border. So we used the BlaBlaCar service and then we walked through the forests by foot. A lot of guys now tell us how they paid money to some route guides. But my comrade and I decided on our own, we just looked at a good site, in our opinion, and decided to go. Now we have to go back and forth, and cross the border. So it’s not a problem at all.
RVC ideologue Volodymyr "Cardinal" recalls how Denys Nikitin (founder of RVC) came to him with Anton "Tourist". He said that he had a crazy idea to gather all Russians into one unit.
Oleksiy Lyovkin, commander of the mortar platoon of the RVC, is convinced that the creation of the RVC is a truly historic event.
The Russian Volunteer Corps was created, an organisation that for the first time in probably 10 years united free Russian people, because in fact Russians have always been in some kind of permanent slavery all their lives. Basically, I dedicated my life to fighting this state, and I realised that it simply has no right to exist as it is. And I realised this not a year ago, not two years ago, but at the dawn of the 2000s.
