Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico held a press conference during which he declared that "life is absolutely normal" in Kyiv despite the war and shelling.
Fico again made a scandalous statement about Ukraine
The statement was made during a conversation with journalists after an external meeting of the Slovak government in the village of Kamenica nad Cirochou in the east of the country. Fico was asked why he would not go to Kyiv for a meeting with his Ukrainian colleague but would hold it in Uzhhorod.
The journalist noted that Fico could see the war's consequences in Kyiv, but he answered angrily. According to him, Ukrainians "live a normal life, and the war does not touch them there" in Kyiv.
Another journalist asked him what part of Slovakia he would sacrifice to Russia, alluding to Fico's statement that Ukraine would have to sacrifice territory.
Fico brushed off the question, saying he doesn't talk to the media, which is co-owned by George Soros. After that, he left the press conference.
