According to the Ukrainian Ground Forces Commander, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Russian soldiers continue to conduct active offensive actions in the Kupiansk forest and are doing everything possible to break through the defence of our soldiers and break through in this direction.
AFU successfully holds back the Russian occupiers in the direction of Kupiansk
Oleksandr Syrskyi officially confirmed that the situation on this part of the front remains difficult.
He noted that the Russian invaders were conducting active offensive actions in the Kupiansk Forest, as they intended to break through the defences of the Ukrainian defenders and advance in the direction of the city.
It is essential to understand that active hostilities in this direction began in October of last year.
Since then, the fierce struggle has not subsided here for a single day. The enemy storms populated areas every day, fires at them with artillery and uses aviation. Now the enemy is storming our positions in the area of Synkivka with the aim of further blocking Kupiansk, the Ground Forces commander says.
Oleksandr Syrskyi also drew attention to the fact that, as of today, his team has a good command of the situation, constantly conducts reconnaissance, analyses the enemy's actions and makes critical decisions.
He says our soldiers hold the defence and prevent the enemy from advancing.

But our Defense Forces manage to destroy the offensive potential of the enemy and inflict significant losses, Syrskyi concluded.
