The Defence forces continue to hold back the enemy in the Novopavlivskyi direction of the front in the districts of Krasnohorivka, Georhiivka, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region.
What is happening in different parts of the front
The Armed Forces General Staff provided operational information regarding the Russian invasion as of 6:00 p.m. 13/03/2024.
The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
Seventy combat clashes took place during the day.
In total, the enemy carried out two missiles and 68 air strikes and carried out 37 MLRS strikes at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled four enemy attacks in Tabaiivka in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka of the Luhansk region, where the enemy tried to dislodge units from their positions.
In the Lyman direction, our soldiers repelled five enemy attacks in the Terny and Yampolivka settlements of the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through our troops' defence.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the Defense Forces repelled three enemy attacks in the areas east of Chasiv Yar, Bohdanivka, and Klishchiivka of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve their tactical position.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks in the Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, and Pervomayske settlements of the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivskyi direction, the Defence Forces continued to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Georhiivka, and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried 19 times to break through the defences of our troops.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, attacked the positions of our defenders five times in the areas of Staromayorske in the Donetsk region, west of Verbove and Robotyne of the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not give up its intention to knock out our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the day, the enemy carried out two unsuccessful assaults on the positions of our defenders.
New AFU's successes in the war against the Russian army
During the day, the Defence Forces' aviation struck seven areas of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration. Also, the air defence of Ukraine destroyed one Kh-31 guided cruise missile.
Units of AFU missile troops inflicted damage on one area of enemy personnel concentration.
