On January 22, a fire broke out in the market in the Russian city of Samara. Currently, the area of the fire is more than 1,000 square meters.

What is known about the fire in Samara

A large-scale market fire broke out in Samara, Russia. Locals say explosions were also heard.

As noted, the burning area reaches more than 1,000 square metres. Russian media writes that the fire probably got the pavilions with pyrotechnics. The video shows columns of black smoke and a large-scale fire that can be seen in all corners of the city.

According to Russian media, the preliminary cause of the fire is an alleged ignition in the electronic panel.

Currently, it is not known whether there are any casualties as a result of the incident, and the authorities have not commented anything.

Explosions in Russia on January 21

On the night of January 21, Ukrainian drones also attacked the Shcheglovsky Val defense enterprise in the Russian city of Tula. Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile systems are produced there.

Drones also attacked the Russian aircraft factory in the Smolensk region. It produces Kh-59 cruise missiles of various modifications and repairs aircraft and other military equipment.

The plant was already attacked by drones in October and November 2023.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the downing of drones over the territory of the Tula, Oryol and Smolensk regions. The Leningrad region is not mentioned.
