Ukraine will be able to receive the first F-16 fighters in the summer of 2024. It is probably about June.

What is known about the timing of receiving the first F-16

As the Minister of Defense of Lithuania Arvidas Anusauskas reported, the first F-16 fighter jets will be in Ukrainian skies approximately in June 2024.

I think that in June we will see them in Ukraine, - the publication quotes Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas.

These terms were also confirmed by another European official who was in Munich.

The Ukrainian authorities expect that by the end of the fiscal year in the USA (September) 12 pilots will be trained on fighter jets, the authors note.

Previously, the first quarter of 2024 was called the approximate date of delivery of fighter jets to Ukraine.

What is known about the provision of F-16 for Ukraine

Earlier, Ukraine's allies announced the creation of an aviation coalition to transfer modern F-16 fighter jets to our country. The coalition was led by the Netherlands and Denmark.

Recently, it became officially known that the first group of Ukrainian pilots completed the basic training program in Britain and began training on F-16 fighters in Denmark.

At the end of December, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, said that the country's government had decided to prepare the first 18 F-16 fighters for transfer to Ukraine.

Rutte also said that the process of transferring the fighters is on schedule. He emphasized that Ukraine will receive at least 24 planes, maybe more, but not less.
