Radoslaw Sikorski, the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, arrived in Kyiv on December 22. This is his first foreign visit at his post.

What is known about the visit of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Kyiv

Radoslaw Sikorski announced his visit on the X page. This is his first visit abroad as the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

First visit abroad; already in place, wrote Sikorski.

By the way, on December 13, Donald Tusk took the oath of Prime Minister of Poland in the presidential palace. Radosław Sikorski had already headed the diplomatic service of Poland during Tusk's previous term as prime minister.

On the evening of December 12, the Polish Sejm voted to support the new government of Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Donald Tusk promises to strengthen European determination to support Ukraine

In an interview with journalists in Brussels after arriving at the EU summit on December 13, Donald Tusk said that he could not agree with apathy or fatigue towards Ukraine because it is not only about Ukraine and Russian aggression but also about the future of Europe.

My role will be to strengthen European resolve to support Ukraine. Despite what is happening in the US, I will try to convince some member states — Hungary above all — on this issue. I will try to find a new key to convince Mr. Orbán. As you know, Prime Minister Orbán is a very pragmatic politician. Consider it a compliment.

Since 2014, Tusk has been trying to unite the EU around helping Kyiv, stressing that a real war is going on in Ukraine, while at the same time, he noted that the Russian Federation is a strategic problem for the EU.
