The Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces, Micael Bydén, and the head of the Ministry for Civil Defense, Karl-Oscar Bohlin, made a powerful appeal to the people of their country. According to their belief, all citizens should be ready for the start of war.
The military believes that Sweden is threatened with war
Minister Bohlin asks the authorities and the country's people not to ignore Sweden's problems.
According to him, the situation is dire, especially concerning issues of modernisation of civil defence, which has been delayed for a long time.
It is worth noting that the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Micael Bydén, has already issued a similar warning.
He also drew attention to the fact that considerable efforts have been made to strengthen Sweden's security through significant investments in defence.
Sweden has not yet been able to become a member of NATO
It is known the country has not yet managed to join the Alliance, which means that, for now, Sweden remains alone with potential threats.
Byden urged the people not to forget what is happening in Ukraine now and to realise that no one is safe from war.
He believes a "strong civil society" is more important than ever in the event of war.
