There is no way for the UN to verify "reports of the use of weapons from North Korea or any other country."
The UN commented on the use of North Korean missiles against Ukraine
The spokesman of the UN Secretary General Stephane Dujarric was asked to comment on the delivery of missiles from North Korea to the Russian Federation.
We have repeatedly condemned the shelling of civilians and civilian infrastructure objects... It is important that all member states comply with the adopted sanctions, and the Security Council has mechanisms for considering these issues, — said the spokesman of the UN Secretary General.
At the same time, he noted that the UN has no way to verify "reports of the use of weapons from North Korea or any other country."
How many North Korean missiles did the Russian Federation use against Ukraine
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin said the day before that in the period from December 30, 2023 to February 7, 2024, the Russian Federation carried out at least 12 strikes on seven regions of Ukraine with North Korean missiles.
At least 24 North Korean-made ballistic missiles were used. Presumably, these were Kn-23/24.
We are talking about Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv (three attacks), Kharkiv (two attacks) and cities and villages in Kirovohrad, Poltava, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. These shellings killed 14 civilians, and injured more than 70 others, — said Andriy Kostin.
The most massive missile attack by this type of missile was documented on February 7, 2024.
