The corresponding message was published on the website of the American diplomatic mission in the Russian Federation.

The embassy is monitoring reports that extremists are planning to carry out attacks on places of mass gatherings in Moscow in the near future, including concerts, and advises US citizens to avoid large gatherings for the next 48 hours, the statement said.

In view of this, the American diplomatic mission called on compatriots to avoid crowds and to look closely at the people around them.

Other details of possible terrorist attacks in Moscow are not given.

The UK also reports the possibility of terrorist attacks in Moscow

The British ministry issued a similar warning, also recommending that citizens of the United Kingdom avoid travelling to Russia due to the risks and threats associated with a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The British Foreign Ministry called the situation in Russia "unpredictable" and added that "travel insurance may be cancelled" if Britons go to the Russian Federation against the recommendations.

Germany warns about the threat in Moscow

The German MFA also published a similar warning on its website. It emphasised that German citizens and people with dual citizenship (Russian and German) are strongly advised not to travel to Russia in the near future.

In addition, the website states that the German Embassy in Moscow and the Consulate General in St. Petersburg will be closed on March 8, 2024.
