The White House announced progress on aid to Ukraine

The White House hoped that the US Congress would approve President Joe Biden's request to finance further military aid to Ukraine in January of next year.

What is known about the prospect of Congress approving further military aid to Ukraine

According to the US National Security Council spokesman, John Kirby, the representatives of the Biden administration think that they have managed to achieve progress in negotiations with representatives of the Republican Party on strengthening security measures on the border with Mexico and making changes to migration laws.

Kirby noted that this gives hope for approval by Congress of Biden's request to finance further aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, probably in January of next year.

The representative of the White House noted that the US government currently has money left for the last package of military aid to Ukraine.

However, without Congressional approval of Biden's request, the United States can no longer provide aid to Ukraine.

Some progress has been made, I won't jump ahead, we have to see how things will develop, Kirby emphasized.

At the same time, the spokesman of the National Security Council at the White House also added that regardless of the decision of the US Congress regarding further assistance to Ukraine, the criminal war unleashed by the Kremlin will continue. The occupying Russian army will continue to carry out attacks and assaults, in particular in the Avdiivka area.

Kirby warned that the freezing of the ground in late January — early February would accelerate the dynamics of the offensive actions of the occupying Russian army.

We want to get this funding as soon as possible. It looks like it will happen sometime in January, but the sooner the better, Kirby said.
