White House National Security Council Coordinator John Kirby says that the next few months will be critical for the defense of Ukraine. That is why he called on the Congress not to slow down the decision on aid for Kyiv.

The White House made a forecast regarding the development of the Russo-Ukrainian war

The next few months will be critical for Ukraine, John Kirby emphasised.

The representative of the White House drew attention to the fact that the Russian army daily attacks the peaceful Ukrainian people with drones and missiles.

In this regard, the military command of Ukraine has to make tough decisions about which weapons and ammunition to use when their stocks are reduced.

According to John Kirby, Congress should not forget that Russia regularly receives military aid from Iran and North Korea, including ballistic missiles.

Moreover, the aggressor country established its production of drones and other weapons systems.

The representative of the White House added that Joe Biden's team intends to do everything possible for the victory of Ukraine.

He notes to the American leader's statement that Ukraine should become a prosperous and sovereign country with restored borders and sovereignty.

And we want to be able to continue to provide Ukraine with the necessary support so that it can achieve these results, — concluded John Kirby.

Biden tries to gather Congress to pass a decision on aid to Ukraine

A week ago, the head of the White House held a meeting with the leaders of the US Congress and the heads of specialized committees, at which he called for the faster unblocking of funding for further assistance to Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, whether Biden convinced the members of Congress will become known this week.

The project provides more than $60 billion to support Ukraine, $14 billion for Israel and the same amount for measures to combat illegal migration on the southern border.
