According to the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War (CHTPOW) representatives, the bodies of another 77 fallen Ukrainian soldiers were returned to Ukraine.

Preparation work for the repatriation event was carried out for a long time. Fallen defenders of Ukraine were returned thanks to the cooperation of the staff of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War in cooperation with the Joint Center of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine by the Commissioner Secretariat for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances, the AFU Central Bureau of Defense, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, other representative offices of the structures of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, — noted the representatives of the Coordination Headquarters.
What is known about further work to identify the victims
The department also expressed gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for assistance in conducting this operation.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine will ensure the transportation of repatriated bodies and remains to designated state specialized institutions for transfer to representatives of law enforcement agencies and forensic medical experts for the identification of the deceased, the post of representatives of the Coordinating Staff emphasised.
