Ukrainian agrarians brought agricultural machinery destroyed as a result of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine to the checkpoint "Krakivets-Korchova".

Ukrainian farmers turned to Polish farmers

The campaign is being held as a result of blocking the Polish-Ukrainian codon. Polish strikers tightened border restrictions on Tuesday, February 20.

Our goal is to show our Polish colleagues the conditions in which we have been working for two years. The equipment of our farmers, which we brought from different regions of Ukraine, was destroyed by the Russian invaders. It was blown up in the Ukrainian fields, shelled by artillery, burned by the occupiers. Behind every harvester or tractor is a tragic farm story, sometimes with human losses. We pay an extremely high price for each grain, — explained the head of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council Andriy Dykun.

The equipment was signed with signs indicating which region it was from and to whom it belonged. On the plates you can see the logos of the organizations "All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council" and SaveUA.

Polish RMF24 notes that as of the morning of February 23, the protests of Polish farmers continue at the "Medyka" checkpoint; the estimated waiting time for trucks from the Polish side is 197 hours.

At the "Korchova" checkpoint, the waiting time is about 143 hours, "Grebenne" — 150 hours, "Dorogusk" — 113 hours. Blockers allow only cars and buses to pass unhindered.

The situation at Ukraine's border

On February 21, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, addressed European and Polish partners regarding the situation on the Ukrainian-Polish border.

He said that he instructed the Ukrainian government to be at the border with Poland by February 24, inviting the Polish prime minister and the government to a meeting there.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said he supports the idea of a meeting between the Ukrainian and Polish governments.

On February 22, Polish PM Donald Tusk announced that border crossings with Ukraine, as well as sections of highways and railways, would be included in the list of critical infrastructure facilities to provide "a 100 per cent guarantee that military and humanitarian aid will reach the Ukrainian side without any delay".

Tusk also noted that Poland and Ukraine's governmental meeting will occur on March 28 in Warsaw.

On February 9, Polish farmers started blocking roads in Poland and checkpoints on the Polish-Ukrainian border.

During this time, protesters twice dumped Ukrainian grain from transport — a truck and a train. On February 18, they blocked the movement of passenger train No. 119 Kyiv — Chelm, with 260 passengers.
