Security Service of Ukraine conducted an attack on the Novatek gas company's sea terminal in Russia's Ust-Luga, Leningrad region, on the night of January 21.

The SSU attacked a gas terminal in the Russian Federation

The SSU drones accurately reached the target, where a large-scale fire started, which continues to this moment, the Russians were forced to evacuate the employees.

The oil terminal "Ust-Luga Oil" in the Leningrad region is an important object for the enemy. Fuel is processed there, which, in particular, is supplied to the Russian army. A successful attack on such a terminal causes not only economic losses to the enemy, depriving the occupiers of the opportunity to earn money for waging war in Ukraine, but also significantly complicates the logistics of fuel for the Russian military, - the SSU source notes.

The fire at the terminal was previously confirmed by the Russian governor of the region Oleksandr Drozdenko.

Before the fire, explosions and sounds of drones were heard. In the Kingisep district, where the terminal is located, a mode of height alert has been introduced. The head of the district administration convened a meeting of the operational staff.
