From February 15, Ukraine's truckers plan to start a protest at the Yagodyn-Dorogusk checkpoint in response to the actions of Polish farmers who are blocking the movement of trucks across the Ukrainian-Polish border.

Truckers from Ukraine will strike at the border

The promotion is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Vitaliy Kotsenko, head of the public organization "Carriers of the Western Region", told about it.

According to him, the action participants will record the facts of bypassing the blockade from the side of the Polish border.

They pass one car per hour, and that is not a Ukrainian but a Polish driver.

The NGO head says that the duration of the Ukrainian transporters' protests will depend on the situation on the Polish side of the border. He adds that the passage of regular buses will not be blocked at the "Yagodin" checkpoint.

What is known about blocking the Polish-Ukrainian border

In Poland, farmers started a nationwide strike on February 9. The protest will last at least until March 10.

During the negotiations at the Ministry of Agriculture, the president of the National Council of Agricultural Chambers, Viktor Shmulevich, said that all farmers agree on three main demands: they do not want the implementation of the Green Deal, the import of agricultural products from Ukraine, and they demand support for animal husbandry.

As of the morning of February 10, Polish farmers blocked the operation of three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine: "Yagodyn — Dorogusk", "Rava-Ruska — Grebenne" and "Shegyni — Medyka". On the same day, at 11:30, the protest ended before the Sheghini-Medyka checkpoint. The movement of trucks has been restored.

On February 12, Polish farmers started protest actions at the "Dolgobichuv-Ugryniv" and "Zosin-Ustylug" checkpoints. Protesters are blocking the movement of trucks there. They also re-blocked the "Medyka-Shegini" PE.

As of the morning of February 14, 1,300 trucks are waiting to cross the border to Ukraine at five checkpoints on the border with Poland, which Polish farmers block. Most trucks are in front of the "Yagodin" and "Rava-Ruska" roads.
