The White House claims that they know how the Ukrainian military "carefully distributes its ammunition", and the Russians are trying to use the moment to attack Ukrainian positions and peaceful cities more.

The Ukrainian military is forced to carefully distribute its ammunition

The coordinator of the National Security Council of the White House, John Kirby, gave an assessment of the situation faced by the Defense Forces in confronting Russian military aggression in the context of the supply of ammunition.

Commanders on the battlefield are making really tough decisions right now. We know that in some units they are very, very careful with their ammunition because they are starting to worry that they are going to run out, Kirby noted.

According to him, the Russian invaders are taking advantage of this situation.

And the Russians know it. That is why they continue to attack with drones and missiles to force the Ukrainians to use air defense equipment, which they know cannot be replaced now, said a White House official.

In this way, the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has to make "some tough decisions — on the part of commanders along the entire front — from the east to the south."

Kirby also spoke about the situation with the offensive of Russian interventionists in the Avdiyivka area. The official noted that this settlement can be perceived by the occupiers as an "exit point, logistics center" for the continuation of offensive operations in Donbas.

According to him, the lack of assistance from the US complicates the situation not only at the front, but also in the depths of the country. In this context, he noted that the Russians are trying to target as many objects of the Ukrainian defense and industrial base as possible, as well as civilian objects.

What is known about US aid to Ukraine

It will be recalled that the US Senate presented a new bill on aid to Ukraine. It combines the allocation of funds to help Ukraine, Israel and to strengthen the southern border of the USA. Meanwhile, the White House spoke sharply about the bill on aid to Israel without Ukraine.

On February 7, the US Senate refused to support a bill on aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan and new funding for border security.

On February 8, the US Senate will reconsider the bill on aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. The review will take place without immigration reform and border security.
