President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy published an address to the people of Ukraine on February 24, 2024 — the second anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion.

Zelenskyy promises Ukrainians victory over the Russian Federation

Great people of a great country! I am incredibly proud of everyone. I admire each and every one of them. I believe in everyone.

The Ukrainian leader noted that any normal person wants the war to end as soon as possible.

However, no Ukrainian will allow our country to end.

That is why we always add: on our terms to the words about ending the war. That is why the word peace always sounds: fair. That is why the word "Independent" will always stand next to the word "Ukraine" in future history. Let's fight for it. And we will win. On the best day of our lives. Thank you to all of you soldiers, our people and everyone in the world who stands by us and the truth. Glory to Ukraine! Volodymyr Zelenskyi emphasized.

On February 24, many Western leaders arrived in Kyiv

In the morning, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen arrived in the Ukrainian capital to once again support the Ukrainian people against the background of their war with the Russian invaders.

I am in Kyiv to mark the second anniversary of Russia's war against Ukraine and the exceptional resistance of the Ukrainian people, von der Leyen emphasized.

The prime ministers of Italy, Canada and Belgium also arrived in Kyiv.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Belgian Prime Minister Alexandre de Croix and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloni decided to support the Ukrainian people with a personal visit.

In addition, it later became known about the arrival of the former British leader Boris Johnson.

I have no doubt that the Ukrainians with their indomitable courage will defeat and drive out Putin's forces - provided we provide them with the necessary military, political and economic support, he said.
