The brigade informs about the liquidation of the location of the command staff of the enemy unit against which the Third Assault Brigade is fighting in the Avdiivka direction.
A D-30 howitzer was also destroyed in Avdiivka itself, with the fire of which the enemy could get our weapons and equipment.
Ukrainian fighters said that scouts of the Unmanned Systems Battalion discovered the Russian command post of a battalion of one of the Russian brigades.
After confirming the target, the 2nd Artillery Battery "Martial Family" fighters of the 2nd Self-propelled Division began to destroy it, delivering powerful 152-mm artillery strikes.
Today, the enemy storms in small infantry groups, and the loss of the battalion command is demoralizing for the personnel and defeating the coordination of the occupiers' actions. This will allow units of the 3rd Assault Brigade to defend their positions even more effectively and counterattack enemy forces near Avdiivka, the brigade noted.
The situation in the Avdiivka direction
On March 14, the AFU Commander-in-Chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited the Avdiivka region.
He said that the enemy has concentrated its main efforts there and has been trying to break through the defense of our troops in the bands of three brigades for several days in a row.
Sirsky noted that the most effective way of conducting defence in these conditions is the destruction of the enemy's armoured vehicles and assault groups of infantry:
artillery fire,
actions of armoured groups,
using various types of impact unmanned systems,
protection from enemy drones of one's units using EW,
destruction of control points of enemy UAV strikes.
