What is known about the situation in the Tavria direction

According to the OSTG "Tavria" speaker, Capt. Dmytro Lykhovii, the Ukrainian soldiers were engaged 43 times in a battle with units of the Russian criminal army in the Mariinka direction and ten times in the Avdiivka direction.

There were 43 combat clashes in the Mariinka direction, [and ] 10 [times] in the Avdiivka direction. The occupiers use small assault groups with the number of detachments using a small amount of armoured vehicles. They use it to land ground troops, which are massively destroyed, — Lykhovii notes.

What is known about the AFU's successes

The OSTG "Tavria" spokesman emphasised that the most tense and dynamic situation in the Tavriya area is currently in the area of Mariinka and Avdiivka.

Several positions were restored in the previous two days. As for the Avdiivka district, the day before yesterday more than a dozen occupiers were captured there. Yesterday, this trend continued, five Russians were captured. This is a consequence of close contact battles, when not only the enemy advances, but also our forces restore their positions and take the enemy by surprise, take them prisoner, — explains Lykhovii.

He also commented on the information about the seizure by the Russians of the Pobieda settlement in the Donetsk region.

The situation on the contact line is dynamic and yesterday the enemy attacked in the area of the villages of Novomykhailivka, Georhiivka and Pobieda 43 times in total. That's a lot for a small stretch on the front line. They were probably dedicated to trying to get some results before Feb 23, which is their holiday. Their attempts were unsuccessful, and some positions were restored, — said the OSTG "Tavria" spokesman.
