The situation on the border with Poland
On 6 November, Polish truck drivers announced the start of a strike, which, according to them, was to last until early January 2024.
As a result, in the first hours, they practically blocked three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine — Yagodyn-Dorohusk, Krakovets-Korcheva, Rava-Ruska-Hrebenia — allowing no more than one truck to pass through in one direction per hour.
Later, on 23 November, the carriers blocked the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint. There were also reports of an intention to extend the blockade to the Nyzhankovychi - Malchovice checkpoint.
On 1 December, in Warsaw, Ukraine and Poland agreed to open the Uhryniv-Dolhobychiv border crossing point for empty trucks to increase border capacity and reduce the burden on other checkpoints.
