On 11 January, a new "cotton candy" was made in Russia. According to Russian authorities, explosives from a drone hit a power supply facility, leaving many buildings without electricity.

Explosion at a power facility in Belgorod region

On 11 January, an explosion occurred in the village of Tishanka, Volokonovsky District, Belgorod Region.

This was stated by local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

The authorities of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation claim that the Armed Forces of Ukraine used a kamikaze drone to damage an infrastructure power supply facility in the village of Tishanka, Volokonovsky district.

There were no casualties as a result of the dropped fragmentation munition. The power supply infrastructure facility was damaged, temporarily leaving about 50 households without electricity.

According to Gladkov, the operational and emergency services are not eliminating the consequences because they are waiting for approval from the Ministry of Defence.

Explosions in Belgorod on 8 January

Belgorod Region Governor Gladkov said that ten air targets were allegedly shot down on approach to Belgorod.

Three people were injured by the debris.

In Belgorod itself, windows in 2 apartment buildings were smashed in apartments, windows in another private household were smashed, and 3 cars were damaged by debris.

The Russian Ministry of Defence traditionally blamed Ukraine for the attack and said that air defence systems had destroyed 10 RM-70 missiles over the Belgorod region.

As a reminder, on the morning of 8 January, the Russian Ministry of Defence released information that its air defence system had managed to shoot down an alleged Ukrainian missile over the Belgorod region.
