Michel calls on the US to provide $60 billion in aid to Ukraine
The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, called on the United States to approve the $60 billion in assistance to Ukraine as soon as possible.
The EU Council press service reported this.
He emphasised that the decision of the European Council to provide 50 billion euros to Ukraine is a "message to all those who, like us, believe in democratic values and the values of freedom."
US aid to Ukraine
The US Senate presented a new draft law on aid to Ukraine. It combines the allocation of funds to help Ukraine and Israel and to strengthen the southern border of the USA.
Biden spoke sharply about the draft law on aid to Israel without Ukraine.
US President Joe Biden also proposed to Congress that 106 billion dollars be allocated to help Ukraine and Israel. But the issue has not been resolved yet.
