Norway will help the medical forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Norway sends medical equipment and other materials for the military of Ukraine.

The Norwegian government announced this on its website on February 17.

This equipment and medical instruments are no longer used by the Norwegian army, so it was decided to hand them over to Ukraine, the message says.

Among the donations: carts for medical instruments, operating tables and lamps, suction cups and emergency bags with medical equipment.

Ukraine also received surgical instruments, including artery clamps, anatomical and surgical forceps, drills and wound hooks.

A representative of the Norwegian Defense Material Agency, Thomas Beck, explained that this is high-quality surgical equipment that is used in many Norwegian hospitals and in the country's Armed Forces.

The Norwegian government also recalled that over the past six months, thousands of sets of field clothing, sleeping bags and tableware have been handed over to Ukraine.

In addition, Ukrainian military medics recently received several thousand medical instruments.

What is known about the agreement on security guarantees between Ukraine and Norway

According to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gar Støre, his country is ready to sign an agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine in a few weeks.

In his comments to the journalists of Nettavisen, Støre emphasized that Ukraine will conclude key security agreements with the leading G7 countries for quite understandable reasons.

But the Nordic countries will also sign agreements individually over a period of time. The goal is to conclude an agreement that will confirm Norway's support for Ukraine's independence and its right to self-defense, the Prime Minister of Norway noted.

According to his assessment, it will take several more weeks to sign the agreement between Norway and Ukraine.
