Poland has issued a navigational warning to civilian airspace users about the possible military aviation activity along the border with Russia and Belarus.

Warning for civil aviation in Poland

The Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland announced that the Air Navigation Services Agency has issued a navigation warning (NOTAM) that will be in effect from February 5 to May 5, 2024.

The NOTAM was issued to warn civilian airspace users of possible increased activity of military aircraft in the eastern part of Polish airspace in response to the "threatening situation on the eastern border."

Navigation warnings — unplanned military activity related to ensuring national security — are a routine message in cases where it is necessary to ensure the safety of traffic in Polish airspace, the operational command explained.

Russia's threat to NATO

In January, the head of the NATO military committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, called on the population to prepare for a possible war with Russia.

We must realize that the fact that we live in peace is not a guaranteed fact. And that is why we (NATO, — ed.) are preparing for a conflict with the Russian Federation. But the discussions are much broader. It's also the industrial base as well as the people who have to understand that they have a role to play.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Romania, General Georgyce Vlad, believes that the Romanian population should take measures to be ready for a possible expansion of Russian aggression beyond the borders of Ukraine.

Also, the commander-in-chief of the Dutch army, Martin Wijnen, said that the country's society should prepare for war with Russia.
