According to the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, Europe should stop complaining about the possible return of Donald Trump to the White House and just now do everything possible for Ukraine's victory in the war.

Rutte calls on the EU to focus on Ukraine

What is important to understand is that Mark Rutte is the main contender for the post of NATO Secretary General, so he currently remains a truly influential politician on the international scene.

He made a new statement during the Munich Security Conference.

We need to stop whining and whining about Trump. It (the election result — ed.) depends on the Americans. I am not American and cannot vote in the US. We have to work with whoever is on the dance floor.

In his opinion, European countries should in any case spend more on defense and increase the production of ammunition, and not only because Trump can become the president of the USA again.

Mark Rutte insists that Europe should do everything possible to increase its support for Ukraine, as it is also in its interests.

And all this whining and moaning about Trump. I've been hearing this constantly for the past few days. Let's stop doing it, said the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

According to Mark Rutte, after talks with American politicians in Munich, he became "cautiously optimistic" that the package of US military aid to Ukraine, which has been stuck in Congress, will eventually be passed.

As mentioned earlier, Donald Trump told at a campaign event how he threatened allies to "encourage Russia" to attack them in order to force them to increase their contributions to NATO's collective security.
