Since the beginning of the week, the Russian army has launched about 400 anti-aircraft missiles, more than 50 "shaheed" and more than 40 missiles in Ukraine.
Putin does not want any peace – Zelensky
Russia continues to methodically kill Ukrainians.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an evening video message.
He emphasized that all leaders and international organizations should react harshly to Russia's actions.
Putin does not want any peace - he only wants war and death. He doesn't care who to kill. The main goal is to destroy. First, Ukraine and Ukrainians. And then you, dear partners. That's why it's a matter of survival - and not only of Ukraine - for the world to react to Russian evil and pressure - pressure, hit back.
Zelenskyi noted that seven Russian military planes, precisely those that drop bombs and kill, were shot down this week.
According to him, since the beginning of February, Russia has lost 15 military aircraft, and this is the correct dynamics of their losses.
According to the President, if this does not happen, "it will become one of the most shameful pages in history - if America or Europe lose to Iranian "shaheeds" or Russian fighter jets." He noted that Russian evil should not be encouraged either by weak decisions, delays in delivery or indecision.
Our joint successes should be felt by everyone in the world who values life. We got through the winter, we saved energy, we didn't allow blackouts. Russia's energy terror has not worked. We continue to restore security at sea, and our maritime exports are working.
Ukraine needs air defense to protect lives
Zelenskyi said that as of this time seven people have died in Odesa, including two children.
The president emphasized that such attacks by "shaheds" do not and cannot have any military meaning.
He added that this is "terror, which aims exclusively to destroy lives, exclusively to intimidate people. The world knows that terror can be opposed. The world has enough air defense systems, systems of protection against "shaheeds" and missiles."
Ukraine did not ask for anything more than necessary to protect life. And when lives are lost, and partners simply have internal political games or disputes that limit our defense, it is impossible to understand. It is impossible to agree with this. And it will be impossible to forget - the world will remember it.
