Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) detained another Russian informer — the traitor "hunted" for air defence, as well as HIMARS of our soldiers.

What is known about the arrest of the traitor

The traitor was detained as a result of counter-subversive measures in the Donetsk region.

First, the enemy informant tried to identify the bases of air defence systems and multiple rocket systems, including the M142 HIMARS type. In particular, he was interested in the places of the greatest concentration of personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sloviansk district of the Donetsk region.

He disseminated the received information through one of the enemy's channels in a popular messenger, which is administered by the so-called "Ministry of State Security" of the "DPR" terroristic group.

The detainee turned out to be a 43-year-old resident who supported Russia's full-scale invasion of the territory of Ukraine. He repeatedly wrote about this in pro-Kremlin Telegram channels.

Then the attacker began to "spill" classified information about the locations of bases and the estimated number of Ukrainian troops in the Sloviansk direction to the FSB chatbot. In order to collect information, the informant personally went around the city and surrounding villages, where he secretly recorded the locations and movement routes of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the SSU writes.

During the searches, a mobile phone was seized, which the traitor used in intelligence activities.

What threatens the Russian informer

The traitor was informed of suspicion under Chapter 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — "unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement, placement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, committed under martial law".

He faces up to 12 years in prison.
