Explosions rang out in the centre of occupied Donetsk. The network reports about the hit into the Sparta Battalion of the Russian Federation, where Russian soldiers may still be based.

What is known about the attack on the base of Russian soldiers in Donetsk

As reported by local Telegram channels, the "hit" occurred in the third campus area of the military department. The Russian battalion "Sparta" used to be based there.

The building is located in the centre of Donetsk, where a fire broke out. Local media claim that the Russian occupiers are still based in the DonNTU building.

So far, the occupation authorities have not commented on the situation in the city.

The separate reconnaissance battalion "Sparta" is an illegal armed formation that is part of the 1st Russian Army Corps. It was created in 2014 as the "Sparta" battalion and was included in the sanctions lists of some countries.

What is known about "bavovna" in Donetsk

On December 15, information about a severe fire in temporarily occupied Donetsk appeared on the Internet. Later, it turned out that the "hits" were recorded in the Budyonvskiy district of the city. As a result, the oil depot caught fire.

Russian mass media confirmed the information. They published footage from the scene. The posted photos showed that the fire was quite powerful.

On December 6, powerful explosions were also heard in Budyonivsky and Leninsky districts in Donetsk. Then, a fire broke out there.

Also, on November 26, due to the attack on the Starobeshivska TPP, electricity went out in several cities in the temporarily occupied territory.

In addition, on September 18, an intense explosion was heard in the temporarily occupied Donetsk. It was noted that the administration of the so-called "Donetsk People's Republic" chief, Denys Pushylin, was "hit".
