On November 13, the Russian occupiers tried to advance in the Kupyan direction. Some of them were dressed in the uniform of the Armed Forces.
Points of attention
- Russian occupiers disguised in Ukrainian Armed Forces uniforms during the assault on the Kupyan direction, violating international laws on war conduct.
- Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped the enemy assault groups, exposing and eliminating the aggressors and their equipment.
- Instances of Russian soldiers dressing up as Ukrainian forces for attacks reveal the ruthless tactics of the aggressor and the need for heightened security measures.
- The use of fake uniforms by Russian occupiers showcases the desperation and disregard for international norms in their military operations.
- Despite attempts to deceive, Ukrainian forces remain vigilant and prepared to identify and neutralize any threats to national security.
The occupiers change into the uniform of the Armed Forces
According to the General Staff, starting at 2:30 p.m., Russian soldiers tried to break through Ukrainian defenses in the Kupyan direction. The enemy assault groups attacked in four waves.
For the offensive attempt, the Russians brought about 15 pieces of equipment, including tanks, armored fighting vehicles and a UR-77 demining installation.
It should be noted that some of the Russian soldiers were dressed in uniforms of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This violates the laws and rules of war and is a war crime.
Despite this, the Ukrainian defenders stopped the enemy — all his armored vehicles were destroyed, and a significant part of the personnel was liquidated.
Russians wear the uniform of the Armed Forces
It is worth noting that this is not the first known case when the Russian occupiers dress up in the uniform of the Armed Forces and try to break through the positions of the Ukrainian defenders.
At the same time, in 2023, it was known that the Russians were using the uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Taurian direction, but they were exposed by Ukrainian defenders.
