The package provides for the transfer to Ukraine of Caesar self-propelled guns, self-propelled 120-mm mortars and ammunition for them.

Denmark helps Ukraine: what is known about the new package

Denmark announced another package of military aid to Ukraine for 330 million dollars. It included Caesar's self-propelled artillery installations.

The Danish MOD's press service reported this.

Denmark allocated money for Caesar in cooperation with France and 155-mm artillery shells — in partnership with Estonia and the Czech Republic.

Artillery and mortar systems are in great demand from Ukraine. With this aid package, we significantly contribute to the struggle for Ukraine's freedom... The aid is provided in cooperation with our allies and signals that we support Ukraine on a broad front.

This is already the 16th package of military aid that Denmark will provide to Ukraine to protect it against Russian aggression.

It should be noted that Caesar is artillery with an effective fire range of up to 42 km. The armament uses the entire assortment of 155-mm NATO shells, including cluster ones. The rate of fire is six shells per minute.

Ukraine to receive all the artillery of Denmark

Danish PM Mette Frederiksen made such a statement during the 7th Ukrainian lunch in Munich.

According to her, during the discussions at the Munich Security Conference, little is said about the importance of the weapons that Ukraine needs now.

Frederiksen points out that European leaders often cite problems with weapons production as an obstacle to increasing supplies and are currently opening new defence businesses to the prospect.

Ukraine is asking us for ammunition and artillery now. We, Denmark, have decided to transfer all our artillery to Ukraine. So, sorry, friends, there is military equipment in Europe, it is not only a matter of production. We have weapons, ammunition, air defense systems, which we do not use yet. They should be handed over to Ukraine.

In her opinion, regardless of what is currently happening in the US, the European Union must finally take responsibility for itself and its security.

We need to do more, — stressed the Prime Minister of Denmark.
