American leader Joe Biden has officially confirmed the US and British attack on the Houthis in Yemen. It is also stated that the operation was supported by Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands.
Air strikes on Houthis in Yemen: what's happening
On the night of 12 January, US and British troops and their allies began to carry out air strikes against targets associated with the Houthis in Yemen.
More than a dozen facilities used by the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen came under fire as part of a massive retaliatory strike using Tomahawk missiles launched from warships and fighter jets.
What is important to understand is that the bombing of the Houthis by the United States, Britain, and their allies was a reaction to the fact that on 9 January, the Houthis launched their largest attack, directly targeting US ships.

According to the US leader, these strikes are a direct response to unprecedented Houthi attacks on international ships in the Red Sea.
The head of the White House points out that these attacks have endangered US personnel, civilian sailors, and US partners.
In addition, it is noted that more than 50 countries have been affected by 27 attacks on international commercial shipping. Crews from more than 20 countries have been threatened or taken hostage during acts of piracy.
