Polish farmers, together with organisations of hunters, beekeepers, and miners, are on strike on March 6 in Warsaw and other cities of the country against the import of Ukrainian agricultural products and the European Green Deal.
Anti-Ukrainian posters at the strike of Polish farmers in Warsaw
Journalists noticed posters with anti-Ukrainian inscriptions on their road from the Government to Sejm.
One of them was attached to the car. The inscriptions on the posters are "End of the Ukrainisation of Poland" and "We remember Volyn." Another banner with the inscription "Ukropolin Stop" was held by two protesters.
Currently, farmers have lit a bonfire near the Diet House and are continuously throwing firecrackers into the fire. They also brought a coffin on which they wrote "Polish Farming 2004”
Clashes between the police and protesters near the Polish Sejm
Polish media reports on clashes between strikers and the police in Warsaw.
Cobblestones, fireworks and firecrackers flew in the direction of law enforcement officers. In response, the police used gas, but not up close.
Several policemen were injured, and more than a dozen people are known to have been arrested, reports "Nova Polska" and publishes footage of the clashes.
What is known about blocking the border of Ukraine
Since February 9, Polish farmers have been blocking checkpoints at Ukraine's border for the passage of trucks.
These are the checkpoints: "Dorogusk - Yagodin", "Grebenne - Rava-Ruska", "Medyka - Sheghini", "Zosyn - Ustylug", "Dolgobichuv - Ughrynov", "Korchova - Krakowiec".
They demand to ban the import of Ukrainian agricultural products and for Poland to abandon the European Green Deal.
During this time, they dumped Ukrainian crops 5 times from freight cars onto the tracks or from trucks onto the roads.
