Russians to leave Crimea after more frequent attacks on enemy's military facilities, Mejlis chief Chubarov says

Refat Chubarov

The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, predicts that almost a million Russians will start fleeing the occupied Crimea, as soon as Ukraine's attacks on the enemy's military facilities on the peninsula become more frequent.

Chubarov has no doubts about Ukraine's liberation of Crimea

The head of the Mejlis draws attention to the fact that the invasion of the Russian army and the occupation of Crimea, and a few months later the instigation of military operations in Donbas were only a prelude to a full-scale war against Ukraine.

Refat Chubarov is convinced that any scenario of deoccupation of the peninsula, which our Armed Forces will use, will undoubtedly end with the complete restoration of Ukraine's sovereignty.

It seems paradoxical, but Vladimir Putin's escalation of hostilities in February 2022 helped world leaders realize the exceptional importance of Crimea not only for Ukraine but also for the stability of the post-war world.

According to him, since August 2022, when the Armed Forces launched the first strikes against Russian military facilities in the occupied Crimea, the peninsula has become a front-line territory.

Refat Chubarov wants to believe that the most careful option for the liberation of Crimea will take place, which would preserve its infrastructure, as well as the lives of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the civilian population.

However, in reality, everything will be determined by the action of many factors that will appear as a result of the liberation of the southern regions of Ukraine and the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Crimea. With such a development of events, I would not rule out the process of disintegration of power in Russia, which can significantly facilitate the liberation of Crimea, - explained the head of the Mejlis.

Mustafa Dzhemilev announced the liberation of Crimea already in 2024

It is also worth noting that recently, the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, Mustafa Dzhemilev, called on Russians who have illegally moved to Crimea to leave the peninsula while the Kerch Bridge is functioning immediately.

There is every reason to believe this year will be the last year of occupation. Therefore, it is suggested that all non-military, civilian persons stay away from military facilities, and citizens of the Russian Federation who have illegally entered Crimea leave the peninsula immediately, without delay, while the Kerch bridge is functioning.

Mustafa Dzhemilev also notes that Ukraine has always done everything possible for the peaceful liberation of Crimea and tried to agree with Putin on the mild withdrawal of Russians from the occupied territories, but Kyiv did not listen.

That is why, as the leader of the Crimean Tatar people notes, "there is no alternative to the military liberation of Crimea."

International law and justice will win sooner or later. See you soon in a free Crimea, concluded Mustafa Dzhemilev.

Defining security guarantees for Ukraine — the US named the condition

Rubio has dotted all the i's
Source:  online.ua

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio officially confirmed that security guarantees for Ukraine will be discussed and approved only after a ceasefire on the frontline, supported by both sides of the war.

Points of attention

  • Rubio emphasizes the importance of first achieving a ceasefire and then moving towards negotiations to effectively end the war.
  • Every country has the right to security and defense, with a focus on protecting territories as part of the security arrangements for Ukraine.

Rubio has dotted all the i's

The US Secretary of State made a statement on this matter following the meeting of the heads of foreign policy departments of the Group of Seven in the Canadian province of Quebec.

"Well, that's something that will have to be determined in the negotiations," Rubio said, commenting on potential security guarantees for Ukraine.

Journalists asked the American diplomat what "strong and credible security arrangements" that would protect Ukraine from potential Russian incursions might look like.

What is important to understand is that the development of these guarantees was supported by the G7 at the current meeting in Canada.

Separate the two aspects: a ceasefire, the conditions for everyone to stop shooting at each other, and then moving to the negotiating table to finally end the war, Rubio said.

According to him, within the second stage, of course, every country in the world has the right to security, the right to defend itself, to protect its territory.
