According to Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, the peace plan for Ukraine should move forward, even if the dialogue between Kyiv and Moscow cannot yet take place. All the same, the Russian Federation must somehow participate in the negotiations on this matter.

Switzerland assumed the participation of Russia in the negotiations with Ukraine

At the fourth peace formula talks in Davos, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignatius Cassis said that the Ukrainian peace plan is only a "foundation" for negotiations to end the conflict with Russia.

Swissinfo publication writes about it.

Either way Russia will be involved. There will be no peace without Russia’s words… We must do everything possible in order to support Ukraine.

According to the minister, the peace plan should move forward, even if the dialogue between Kyiv and Moscow cannot yet occur.

Every day, while we are waiting, dozens of civilians get killed. We have no right to wait, Cassis said.

He added that "we must end this war."

Among the ten points of the Peace Formula, Switzerland participates in the work on food security, nuclear security and ending the war.

Meeting in Davos: what is known

On January 14, the fourth meeting of national security advisors regarding the Ukrainian Peace Formula was held in Davos - 81 countries and international organizations were among the participants.

During the previous third meeting in Malta, the first five points of the Ukrainian Peace Formula were discussed. Davos advisers are working on the following five:

  • Russian troops withdrawal;

  • justice restoration;

  • ecological safety;

  • prevention of escalation and recurrence of war;

  • confirmation of the end of the war.

The participants should also agree on today's Global Peace Summit format.

The meeting of advisers in Davos will be the largest after the previous three meetings — in Copenhagen, Jeddah and Malta, which took place in the fall of 2023. The summit's purpose will be to conclude negotiations at the level of advisers.

During the meeting in Malta in October 2023, the specific areas of the Peace Formula and work on their implementation were discussed. Attention was focused on five key points: nuclear and radiation security, food security, energy security, the release of all prisoners and deported persons, the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity and the world order.

Harris was actively preparing for Biden's death — unexpected details

Harris was actively preparing for Biden's death — unexpected details
Source:  The Guardian

The team of former US Vice President Kamala Harris developed an entire strategy and algorithm of actions, fearing that former President Joe Biden might die while still the country's leader.

Points of attention

  • The book 'Battle: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House' unveils the behind-the-scenes events in the White House and the measures taken by Harris' team to be prepared for any eventuality.
  • Despite the sensitive nature of the preparations, Harris was not informed about the list of federal judges until after Simmons left her camp in January 2023.

Biden could have died as president

Details of the events in the White House are described in the new book "Battle: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House" by Jonathan Allen and Amy Parnes.

As it turned out, Democratic Party representatives were holding secret negotiations to plan to remove Joe Biden as the party's presidential candidate as early as 2023.

No less shocking is the fact that Kamala Harris and her team members created a special strategy because they wanted to be prepared for even the worst possible outcome, namely Biden's death as president.

The authors of the book claim that this was done by Jamal Simmons, Harris' communications director.

Moreover, he even compiled a list of federal judges who could swear in the US vice president.

Simmons did not tell Kamala Harris about the list before he left her camp in January 2023. But he advised colleagues that he should be informed immediately if anything happened to Biden because he had developed an entire communications strategy.
