According to the chief of the German Defense Ministry, Boris Pistorius, during this year, his country will be able to transfer at least three times more ammunition to Ukraine due to the expansion of own production.
What is known about Germany's plans to increase supplies of ammunition to Ukraine
Pistorius noted that Germany invested 3.5 billion euros to increase ammunition production.
According to him, this enables Berlin to increase the supply of ammunition to Kyiv this year by 3-4 times.
The minister noted the growing dynamics in the issue of ammunition, which has a positive effect on Ukraine and Germany.
What they say in the USA
Head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, during a speech at a meeting of the contact group of international partners on aid to Ukraine in the Rammstein format, noted that the Western allies will continue to support Kyiv strongly.
The US Defense Minister noted that many allies and partners from around the world are participating in the meeting, which is evidence of the determination and unity of the coalition in support of Ukraine.
As Austin pointed out, when dictator Vladimir Putin decided to launch an unjust and unprovoked war, he bet on blaming Ukraine for the war.
The head of the Pentagon promised that the self-isolation of the aggressor country caused by Russia's war against Ukraine will only increase.
At the same time, Ukraine's allies and partners are currently building coalitions of capabilities for Ukraine's long-term security.
Attention is also paid to the accountability of aid provided to Ukraine.
The US Secretary of Defense assures that the Contact Group will continue to work together so that Ukraine gets everything it needs to hold on to its gains and continue to push out the Russian occupation forces in the coming months.
Austin emphasises brutality is becoming particularly clear during yet another winter campaign in the war against Ukraine, as Putin's forces brazenly bombard Ukrainian cities with ballistic missiles and Iranian drones. At the same time, Ukrainians continue to fight for their sovereign rights.
As Austin assures, the Contact Group will continue to "dig deeper" to provide Ukraine with short-term and long-term support.
