Russian volunteers fighting on the side of Ukraine called on residents of Belgorod and Kursk regions on March 15 to stay in shelters or evacuate during the operation of the humanitarian corridor.

Statement of Russian volunteers about combat operations on the Russian border's territory

The Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC), the Legion "Freedom of Russia" (LFR), and the Siberian Battalion (SibBat) published a statement on March 15 calling on residents of the Belgorod and Kursk regions to remain in shelters due to the intensification of hostilities on Russian territory.

The best solution these days would be to leave the territories of the Belgorod and Kursk regions until the active phase of the limited military operation is over.

A humanitarian corridor will operate for those willing to evacuate from the war zone on the night of March 15 to 16. The period of operation remains unchanged: from 21:00 on March 15 to 7:00 Moscow time on March 16.

Russian volunteers recommend to all those who will not be able to leave the area of the limited military operation in time to find a reliable shelter, refrain from walking, avoid crowds of people and equipment, and stay at home or in safe places if possible.

We remind you that the Putin regime continues the practice of covering its troops with the civilian population as a "human shield", which makes the stay of civilians in the territory of the Belgorod and Kursk regions particularly dangerous, the statement reads.

What is happening in the Russian border regions

On the morning of March 12, Russian volunteers from the LFR, RVC, and SibBat fighting on the Ukrainian side announced that they were "going to the elections" for the Russian Federation's president.

They crossed the Russian border and operated in the border areas. On the same day, the Legion "Freedom of Russia" fighters announced they had taken control of the Tyotkino settlement in the Kursk region.

On the evening of March 14, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) confirmed that the Russian authorities are blocking the evacuation of civilians from the Belgorod and Kursk regions, where hostilities are taking place.

According to Russian volunteers from the Legion "Freedom of Russia," as of the morning of March 15, 7,000 vehicles with people in Belgorod and the Belgorod region and 600 civilian cars from Kursk used the humanitarian corridor for evacuation.

The Russians faced another problem during the withdrawal of troops from Syria

The Russians faced another problem during the withdrawal of troops from Syria

Russia continues to evacuate its military contingent from Syria to Libya, but is facing new difficulties. Currently, the occupiers have problems with equipment.

Points of attention

  • The Russian evacuation of the military contingent from Syria is facing difficulties due to technical malfunctions on the ships.
  • The new Syrian government demands the complete withdrawal of Russian troops by 2025.
  • Some of the occupants are stuck at sea due to a cargo ship breakdown, which complicates the evacuation process.
  • The head of European diplomacy and the leadership of the European Union insist on the withdrawal of Russian troops from Syria.
  • The complication of the troop withdrawal process indicates an aggravation of the situation in the Middle East.

Russians have problems with equipment during the evacuation of troops from Syria

According to intelligence, the Russian landing ship "Alexander Otrakovsky" has experienced technical malfunctions.

In particular, there was a malfunction in the water desalination plant, and the second and third fuel tanks began to leak.

The dry cargo ship Sparta and two large landing ships, the Ivan Gren and the Alexander Otrakovsky, are currently in the outer roadstead of the port of Tartus. However, the process of evacuating military property by sea is complicated by the lack of permission for Russian ships to enter the port.

Syria's new government demands Putin completely withdraw his troops

Syria's opposition forces, which recently overthrew the regime of Bashar Assad, want the Kremlin to completely withdraw its military contingent from the country.

What is important to understand is that this applies to the bases in Hmeimim and Tartus, and the deadline is set for February 20, 2025.

According to the GUR, some of the Russian occupiers were stranded in the open sea due to the breakdown of the cargo ship Sparta, which was used to evacuate equipment and weapons from Syria.

The Sparta suffered a technical failure while underway - a fuel pipe to the main engine failed. The crew is trying to fix the problem, but the ship is currently drifting in the open sea near Portugal.

Also recently, the head of European diplomacy, Kaia Kallas, and some European Union leaders are insisting that Syria be freed from the Russian military presence.
