Chuck Schumer: Trump may disrupt agreements on providing aid to Ukraine

According to US Senate Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, the former President Donald Trump may try to influence the White House's agreement with the Republican Party on funding for further assistance to Ukraine.

What is known about Trump's alleged attempts to obstruct the agreement on aid to Ukraine

According to Schumer, at least 5 representatives of the Republican Party in the Senate will support the agreement on funding further assistance to Ukraine in exchange for changes to immigration legislation, but at least 15 representatives of the Republican minority will vote against it, and the rest may be swayed by Trump.

He is a huge political force in this party, and the question is, are they going to do the right thing if they know that Donald Trump is going to affect them in a nasty, cruel way, Schumer explained.

Journalists point out that on the eve of the Republican Party convention in Iowa, which will take place in a few weeks and where Trump has unquestioning support, Republicans expect him to interfere in their own political affairs and try to sway them to his side.

In particular, many fear that Trump will try to derail the deal to approve President Joe Biden's request for further assistance to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan in exchange for measures to tighten immigration laws and increase control on the border with Mexico.

The authors of the article add that some conservative representatives of the Republican Party have already sided with Trump and demanded that further assistance to Ukraine be cut off.

Democrats also risk losing the support of several lawmakers from their party on this issue.

In particular, the Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders from Virginia opposed the agreement on funding further assistance to Ukraine, explaining that he was concerned about the lack of conditions for providing aid to Israel.

Some representatives of the Democratic Party are also dissatisfied with the compromise made by the Republicans in the form of stricter immigration laws.

Will Putin agree to a ceasefire — insider data

Putin is currently skeptical
Source:  Reuters

As Reuters has learned from its sources in the Kremlin, it is highly unlikely that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will agree to the ceasefire regime against Ukraine that the Zelenskyy and Trump teams agreed on in Saudi Arabia.

Points of attention

  • The United States' offer of military aid and intelligence sharing alongside the ceasefire proposal has been met with skepticism and complaints from officials close to Putin.
  • Insider insights shed light on the complex dynamics and negotiations surrounding the potential ceasefire agreement, providing valuable information on Putin's perspective and concerns.

Putin is currently skeptical

According to an insider close to the illegitimate head of the Kremlin, Russia supposedly needs to work out the conditions for any ceasefire and receive certain guarantees.

"It's hard for Putin to agree to this in its current form... Putin has a strong position because Russia is moving forward," claims an anonymous journalistic source.

In addition, it is indicated that without ceasefire guarantees, Russia's position could quickly weaken, and then the West could accuse Russia of failing to end the war.

According to another insider, for dictator Putin, it now looks as if Ukraine and the US are trying to trap him.

The big picture is that the United States has agreed to resume military aid and intelligence sharing and has embellished this move with a proposal for a ceasefire, officials close to the Russian dictator complain.
