Russian propagandist blogger Podolyaka was sentenced to 15 years in prison by a Ukrainian court

The Ukrainian court found Yuriy Podolyak guilty of 5 articles and sentenced him to 15 years behind bars.

This is reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU).

According to the investigation, Podoliaka is a native of the city of Sumy. Still, in 2014 he left for Russia and began to spread fakes about the socio-political situation in Ukraine there publicly.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he regularly performs the tasks of the Russian special services in conducting information sabotage.

Podolyak created his own YouTube channel with a total audience of more than 3 million subscribers to carry out information and subversive activities. In addition, a pro-Kremlin Telegram channel operates under his "authorship" and VKontakte pages and popular messengers.

Podolyaka was involved in the missile attack on Mykolaiv

Podolyak justifies the seizure of Ukrainian territory and the destruction of the civil infrastructure of our state. He also denied the war crimes committed by the Russians in Bucha and called the exposed facts of mass murders of residents "staged".

Along with this, Podoliaka is involved in the correction of massive rocket and artillery attacks on the Russian Federation in the Mykolaiv region.

To target Russian weapons, the attacker formed his own networks of informants in the territory of the southern region. Among the enemy correctional officers was the ex-head of the Mykolayiv district prosecutor's office, who is currently serving a life sentence for treason.

Trial of Podolyaka

Based on the collected evidence, the court found him guilty on five counts:

  • actions aimed at the violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or at the seizure of state power;

  • distribution of materials with calls to change the borders of the territory in violation of the order established by the Constitution of Ukraine;

  • treason committed under martial law;

  • propaganda of war;

  • justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and glorification of its participants.

He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Since the convict is hiding from justice in the territory of Russia, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring him to justice. The perpetrator will be found and punished, the SSU added.

Putin's position on security guarantees for Ukraine has changed dramatically

What was Dmitriev talking about?
Source:  Fox News

The Russian dictator's representative, Kirill Dmitriev, made a new, loud statement after talks at the White House. According to him, some security guarantees for Ukraine "may be acceptable."

Points of attention

  • The Kremlin's openness to security guarantees for Kyiv contrasts with previous demands for Ukraine's demilitarization and opposition to European peacekeepers.
  • The recent developments underscore a significant departure from Russia's usual positions on Ukraine, posing new challenges and opportunities for diplomatic relations.

What was Dmitriev talking about?

Dmitriev began to cynically lie that Ukraine had attacked Russian energy facilities.

Despite this, he added that negotiations with Donald Trump's representative had a "positive outcome."

According to him, Putin's team is allegedly currently open to security guarantees for Kyiv.

"Some security guarantees in one form or another may be acceptable," Kirill Dmitriev said, but did not explain what they were.

Against this background, he categorically rejected Ukraine's accession to NATO as "absolutely impossible."

American journalists point out that the new statement by Putin's representative is a departure from the Kremlin's usual position.

The Russian dictator previously claimed that peace would only be possible if Ukraine was "demilitarized," while Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow was "categorically" opposed to European troops acting as peacekeepers.

US President Donald Trump has endorsed pro-Russian politician Marine Le Pen, the leader of the French National Rally party. This came after she was sentenced to 4 years in prison (2 suspended, 2 with an electronic bracelet) in a case of embezzlement of EU funds. In addition, a court in France banned her from running for public office.

Points of attention

  • US President Donald Trump endorsed Marine Le Pen, the leader of the French National Rally party, who was sentenced to 4 years in prison for embezzlement of EU funds.
  • Trump defended Le Pen, labeling the verdict as a 'witch hunt' and claiming it was used to censor a political opponent and restrict freedom of speech.
  • Marine Le Pen, along with eight members of the European Parliament, including Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Dutch House of Representatives member Geert Wilders, were found guilty of embezzlement, with Le Pen being fined and banned from running for public office.

Trump talks about a “witch hunt” regarding Le Pen’s conviction

Trump said on the social network Truth Social that this case is a "witch hunt."

The witch hunt against Marine Le Pen is yet another example of how the European left is using the law to silence free speech and censor its political opponent.

The US president added that European leaders "went too far" when they jailed their opponent, saying it happened on the eve of her "big victory."

I don't know Le Pen, but I appreciate how hard she worked for so many years. She suffered losses, but she kept going.

In addition, he believes that Le Pen "did not know about the embezzlement of EU funds" and that this is completely an "accounting error."

Le Pen and eight members of the European Parliament have been found guilty of embezzlement. Le Pen was accused of misusing public funds. In addition to the term, the woman must pay a fine of 100,000 euros.

In addition, supporters of "Putin's girlfriend" stood up for her, saying they were "shocked by the incredibly harsh" sentence. Her "friends" include Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, member of the Dutch House of Representatives Geert Wilders, member of the Spanish Congress of Deputies Santiago Abascal, and others.
